FF8 CHARCTER GUIDE
Characters
This is our character guide, and a testament, to the amazing characters in Final Fantasy VIII, including Angelo, Rinoa's dog.
The first of our characters, is Squall Leonhart
Name: Squall Leonhart
Age: 17
Character: Lone Wolf
Hair Colour: Light Brown.
D.O.B: 23.08.1982. (Which doesn't make him much older than me!)
Height: 1.75m
Weapon: Gunblade
Sex: Male
Top GF: Quezacotl
Squall is, of course, the main character in FF8. He's a strange person, who doesn't seem to care about other people, or how they feel for him. He is a very private person, and he takes little pleasure in duty, and thus has little compassion. He is an excellent warrior, and has pride in his victories. As the game progresses, you will notice several changes in Squall's character, but I'll leave you to find them out yourselves.
The next of our characters is Rinoa Heartilly
Name: Rinoa Heartilly
Age: 17
Character: Carefree
Hair Colour: Black with brown streaks
D.O.B: 17.11.1982. (We believe!)
Weapon: Pinwheel
Sex: Female
Top GF: Ifrit
Rinoa is a mysterious character, who seems to be more interested in Squall than with many other things in life. She is the leader of the Forest Owls, a resistance movement fighting for the freedom of war-torn Timber. Timber are at war with Galbadia, the world's biggest armies. Rinoa's real last name is Caraway, after General Caraway of Galbadia, her father. Her relationship will Squall will develop and there is a very important battle involving her later on.
Our next character is Seifer Almasy.

Age: 18
Character: Arrogant Psychopath
Hair Colour: Blonde
D.O.B: 22.12.1980.
Weapon: Gunblade
Sex: Male
Top GF: N/A
Although he is an excellent fighter, Seifer lack of discipline and over-sized ego mean he'll never be as good a warrior as Squall, and thus is an easy target. He thinks highly of himself, but his poor choice of friends and his lack of sentimentality are a problem. You get the feeling he might just rebel against the organisation of the Garden. He is incredibly unpopular with his instructor, Quistis, but slightly more popular with Headmaster Cid. He has an unknown as yet relationship with Rinoa.
Next, we have Zell Dincht.
Name: Zell Dincht
Age: 17
Character: Loud and Agressive
Hair Colour: Blonde
D.O.B: 17.03.1982
Weapon: Fists
Top GF: Ifrit
An excitable and lively fighter, Zell has always wanted to follow in his Father's footsteps to become a fighter famous throughout Balamb country. He has a tattoo on his face, but we never find out what this is supposed to signify. He is popular as a result of his liveliness, but is unreliable and inconsistent as a person to rely on. He has a loyal mother, but there seems to be a little more to his family than meets the eye.
The next character is Selphie Tilmitt

Character: A bit of a Nutter
Hair Colour: Brown
D.O.B: 16.07.1982
Weapon: Shinobou (death sticks)
Top GF: Bahamut
After growing up in Trabia, Selphie moved to Balamb to be able to take the SeeD field exam and become a SeeD. She is an organisor of the Balamb Garden Festival and is always willing to help. She is, however, rather annoying to Squall, who always seems to be trying to ignore her. She is obsessed with trains, and is always finding secret passages. She has a suspicious sort of relaitionship with Irvine.
The next character we see is Quistis Trepe

Character: V. Bossy
Hair Colour: Blonde
D.O.B: 04.10.1981
Weapon: Whip
Top GF: Cerberus
A superstar student at the Garden, Quistis became a SeeD at the age of 15 and an instructor at the age of 17. She ha smany fans, in particular her loyal "Trepe Groupies", a group of 3 or so followers completely obsessed with her. She is very bossy, but has many friends, but can be a bit too "machine" and strict. She does have some hidden emotions, but like to be in control of the situation
